5in5 Day #2 “Breathe”

5in5 Day #2 “Breathe”

I have to admit it…I am totally enjoying this!

This next one is pretty special to me. I have these amazing friends, David and Angela.

David is a walking miracle. Just recently he had a double lung transplant to cure the Cystic Fibrosis he has fought for so many years. I can’t begin to find the words to say to even describe all of the prayer that has gone into this lung transplant. To say that it is a risky operation is putting it too lightly.

This song is a celebration of the new life God has given David and his family. Just picture an underweight coughing pale guy carrying around an oxygen tank to one that is walking, gaining weight and no oxygen tank in sight! David, I can’t wait to see you running with your kids!

Breathe (CLICK HERE TO HEAR IT!)

You give me life

You give me breath

You fill these lungs

So I can breathe again

With every step

I sing your praise

You’ve changed my life

So I can breathe again!

And I’m free!

Free to run with You

Free to live for You

Free to breathe!

And I’m free!

Free to Dance with You

Free to live for You

Free to breathe

Breathe in me

I am free

I can breathe!

Oh yes…and Titus just had to get in on the fun at the end! ha!

Eliza, WOW! The freedom we now have as a family is a miracle. Our lives literally had to do a 180 when Dave went on oxygen last year. Eden, my 6 year old, said Daddy, you don’t need oxygen anymore! We truly feel every prayer. We feel the presence of God all around us. The people we have been able to minister to and the stories we’ve already heard. Amazing! This is just the beginning of this new freedom. Eliza, this is awesome! FREE is exactly how we feel! TO God be the Glory!!

Angela…I am quite surprised I made it through the song. Every time I imagined David up and running and playing with the kids I would just start to cry. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” “Praise be to the Lord your God who has delighted in you!”

I love this, Eliza! And I love that you wrote for someone else. That is such a lovely gift to give! And I’m so glad you’re putting yourself out there – you’re definitely one of the cool kids now. You’ll have to tell me your secrets. : )

Eliza! I love these songs. I’ve just listened to all of them. I can so imagine my nieces and nephews at their Wednesday night church services singing these songs. I hope you are publishing them so we can share them with them. You are so blessed.

Thank you Shelby! It’s been such a long time! So glad you stopped by and liked them! I think something like that is in the works…there’s a lot of songs that were written this week due to the challenge. So fun!
